Designed for the mini Richie McCaw, the Phoenix Club provides superb traction thanks to the deeper stud configuration. The Phoenix Boots have been developed with a tough, supportive, synthetic upper for those who do the harder yards. Add to that a neoprene tongue and the overall fit of the boot results in that which is more in sync with the contours of the feet. The nature of the last employed is more traditional in size, meaning greater power distributed through the sole of the shoe when in collision. Canterbury introduce TPU within the sole of the boot as it more flexible and harder wearing than standard PU; with that in mind this unique material combines lightness, strength and flexibility with equal aplomb. As mentioned, the stud configuration yields more grip on softer surfaces, whilst concurrently the longer length design of the studs provide enhanced levels of support over more conventional rugby boots. Completed with reinforcement engaged within the heel and arch, further support and improved grip follow suit. Designed for the back row forward chasing contact.
