The toe box region of the Terraclaw features a Stripped back welded overlay system similar to Inov8's Met-cradle. The design forms a distinct cross-section across the toe box, hence the name X-Lock. The simple technology addition assists with stabilising the foot and allowing the toes to splay, delivering added comfort on those longer runs while diagonally sewn lace lock keeps the tongue in place for friction-free running. The main body of the upper sports a durable and Highly breathable mesh; allowing air to permeate within the shoe, aiding with cooling and retaining a drier environment within the interior for greater comfort over the miles. Protecting the toes from the repetitive impacts, knocks, bumps and scrapes that the trail serves up the Terraclaw feature's a durable Toe cap overlay. Which provides that little extra in the high contact region of the shoe. The double-layered protective toe cap ensures that minor toe bumps don't knock the athlete off their stride.
